This role is available only in Romania, involves an employment contract (CIM), and is remote.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the full lifecycle of Scala backend services, including design, development, deployment, and operation within an Azure environment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain optimal system performance.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, international agile team, working closely with developers and product stakeholders.
- Contribute insights on risk, scope, and prioritization during feature planning, proactively identifying and proposing effective solutions.
- Suggest and drive improvements in architecture and processes to strengthen system reliability, enhance team efficiency, and support overall product success.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience building service-oriented architectures using Scala.
- Strong understanding of reactive systems, enabling the design of applications that are responsive, resilient, elastic, and highly available.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems and microservices, including deployments on Kubernetes and Azure.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Akka HTTP, Akka Streams, or Akka Actors, along with experience in event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
- Comfortable engaging in both technical and business discussions, with a customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
- Collaborative team player who values feedback and actively participates in pairing and code reviews.
- Understanding of energy market concepts (power vs. energy), with experience or strong interest in trading markets (TSO) and renewable assets like battery, wind, and solar.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
