DevOps Manager

Our client, a US-based product company with expansion plans in Europe, is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager to lead an Infrastructure Engineering Team in optimising their cloud-based infrastructure and automation of processes in order to make it market-ready for new geographic areas. As the DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for managing, leading and growing a team of Infrastructure Engineers and ensuring that they are able to deliver high-quality features on time.

What will you do?

• Promote employee growth by providing coaching, mentoring and feedback;
• Ensure prompt delivery of technical solutions to meet business requirements;
• Efficiently establish and oversee expectations with engineering teams, leaders, and other stakeholders;
• Promote and advance modern, agile software development methodologies;
• Create and advocate for exceptional engineering and organizational practices;
• Cultivate a positive and cooperative engineering environment in alignment with company values;
• Actively participate in the leadership team and cooperate with other leaders within the organization;
• Engage in rigorous engineering processes through code and architectural review.

What will you need?

• You have over five years of experience working in infrastructure;
• You possess more than one year of hands-on management experience, including hiring and team growth;
• You have a deep understanding of Linux, Containers, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud technologies, such as GCP or AWS;
• You have a passion for developing and growing people and have a proven track record in doing so;
• You have some experience in leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software engineers, SRE/ DevOps/ Cloud engineers;
• You have extensive experience working in an agile development environment.
