Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry, and they are currently looking to establish an IT hub in Romania. We are currently seeking a Wintel Server Engineer for this opportunity.

 Responsibilities:

• Oversees the management and security of server hardware, Microsoft Server operating systems, directory services, and VMware virtualization platforms deployed throughout the organization.
• Works closely with managed service providers responsible for delivering services and collaborates with various IT departments to devise and implement effective solutions.
• Plays a key role in initiatives aimed at advancing technologies and enhancing the continuous improvement of services.
• Takes charge of project planning and execution for infrastructure projects of small to mid-sized scale.
• Develops protocols for the support and upkeep of technologies, catering to both enterprise and regional support teams.
• Participates in a 24×7 on-call rotation to address service outages and escalations promptly.
• Contributes to activities related to recovery, maintenance, and projects that extend beyond regular business hours.

Skills:

• 6+ years experience with Window Server, Active Directory, VMware maintenance and support.
• BS, BA, or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• Extensive experience in multiple technologies including Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, VMware Hypervisor, Dell, HP, and CISCO UCS Server Hardware, DNS, DHCP, Azure AD, Azure ARC, Private Key Infrastructure (PKI)/Certificate Management, and SCCM/MECM for server patching.
• Experience managing data center services for medium to large-scale global enterprises (1,000+ servers).
• Experience overseeing quality of work performed by managed service providers, contractors, and consultants.
• Functional knowledge of infrastructure and application technologies and concepts and how they relate to delivery and maintenance of services such as LAN / WAN, Messaging, Azure Active Directory, Office365, and Disaster Recovery.
• Excellent English language communication and presentation skills.
